Sara Erickson-Nelson, J.D., M.A.:
Sara Erickson-Nelson completed her studies at The Northern School of Chinese Medicine in 1991. After several years of practicing alternative therapies, she returned to school and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and Communications from Concordia University in St. Paul. Ms. Erickson-Nelson attended Hamline University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2001. While at Hamline University, Ms. Erickson-Nelson concentrated her studies in Alternative Dispute Resolution and completed Hamline’s prestigious Dispute Resolution Institute. She is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and is a Rule 114 qualified neutral in several areas.  Following law school, Ms. Erickson-Nelson volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem in Ramsey County Juvenile Court. Ms. Erickson-Nelson continued her studies and received a Master of Arts degree in Human Development from St. Mary’s University where she focused her studies on child development and psychology. Currently, she volunteers as an attorney for Children’s Law Center of Minnesota representing youth in foster care. Ms. Erickson-Nelson has been working with families focusing on children’s needs since 2000.
